Baker Branch Information

Active since 1930 the Baker Branch has approximately 45 members from around the county. In that time, we have raised over $40,000  that we have given back to organizations and/or projects serving women and children in Baker County.  Our legacy of leadership: 80 yrs. AAUW  advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, and research.

Some of the Contributions/Supports Made in the Past Are:

Ontario Satellite  information

This branch was established in 1947, but is only active at present as a satellite of the Baker branch.  Visitors and prospective new members are invited to call the contact number listed for information about the very limited activities.  There are quarterly lunches with the few members able to participate and no regular meetings or projects are active.

Projects: No fundraising occurs apart from the Baker City branch.

Public Policy:  Members participate with Treasure Valley Community College in Candidates Forums held every two years.

Contributions:  A fund to help students with emergency and unplanned expenses was established many years ago is still active and is administered by the college staff.
